A Vákuum Tv nem egy hagyományos értelemben vett televíziós csatornát jelent, hanem egy élõ showmûsort, amely 1994 és 1997 között a kilencvenes évek legnépszerûbb szubkulturális szórakozóhelyén, a Tilos az Á-ban mûködött. Bár a mûfaji besorolás (interaktív színház, videó kabaré, élõ TV) felesleges, mégis azt mondatnánk, hogy a Vákuum Tv egy olyan modern kabaré, ahol keveredik a színház a videóval, a performance a televíziózással, a játék a mûvészetekkel, és ezáltal a szórakoztatásnak olyan különleges elegyét képviseli, amely ma is egyedülálló kísérletnek számít. A Vákuum Tv a tévénézés magányos, otthonhoz kötött házi szertartását egy óriási, színpadon felállított televízió díszlet segítségével közösségi televíziózássá formálta. A csoport, az évek során változó tagokkal valósította meg több mint 50 elõadását, állandó alkotók a jelenben: Kistamás László, Csernátony Dóra, Gróf Ferenc és Till Attila. A Vákuum TV számos külföldi fesztiválon szerepelt, ezek közül érdemes megemlíteni az amszterdami Next 5 Minutes, tactical media konferenciát, a párizsi Fleche d' Or Café meghívását és a bécsi U2 rendezvénysorozatot. A Vákuum TV 2000 nyarán két egész estés szórakoztató, tudományos-színházi elõadást rendezett a Városligeti Mûjégpálya teraszán. A projekt korunk aktuális technikai újításait és problémáit tárta újszerû módon, vicces színházi formában a közönség elé. A Vákuum Tv a 100 évvel ezelõtti Uránia Tudományos Színház koncepcióját ültette át a mába, megnyitva az utat egy egészen újfajta szellemi utazás elõtt.	VakuumTV was founded in February 1994 on the initiative of László Kistamás. Its members presented weekly broadcasts on Monday nights at the most popular cultural club in Budapest, Tilos az Á. Needless to say, the designation “VakuumTV” was not meant to refer to any kind of conventional television channel which could be received on TV sets in commercial circulation. Rather, its founders envisioned a live show in which a large frame separating the stage from the audience imitates the experience of watching TV for the audience. Thus VakuumTV can be received only where this frame is set up. The name “VakuumTV” stands for a kind of modern cabaret in which theatre blends with video art, performance with television, and art with play. This combination shows some affinity to the earliest “café theatres” and the Cabaret Voltaire, which was founded in 1916 and also operated in an entertainment locale. In this television censorship is obliterated and everything desired by the body or the soul is permitted. The broadcasts consist of various, largely independent numbers. Absurd humour and attempts toward greater permeability of the boundaries between different media are only two of the hallmark features of VakuumTV broadcasts. Many of the numbers take conventional television broadcast techniques as their point of departure in order to reinvent them in a distorted manual form. In VakuumTV, electronics and high technology are present on a different level and applied in a different manner than in ordinary television. Here everything takes place live, through a peculiar imitation of tricks normally associated with television (slow motion, fast forward, freezing images, etc.). This imitation presents the familiar visual space of television in an altered form. Broadcasts also feature short videotaped material recorded and edited by the members of VakuumTV before the broadcast. These videotaped images are projected upon a tulle screen attached to the TV frame, a technique which allows the combination and alternation of video projection and live performance. When illuminated by stage lights, the tulle becomes transparent and those on the stage enter the broadcast; when the stage is dark, the tulle surface serves as the screen for projections. The combination of live performance and projected images, the mobilization of the audience for active involvement, as well as the employment of a camera which can broadcast happenings and images occuring simultaneously on the stage or elsewhere enable VakuumTV to transcend the limitations of conventional television. With the viewers being simultaneously in the television studio and in front of their TV sets, interactive television is to become reality.	Vakuum Tv a été créée par Laszlo Kistamas en février 1994 au club culturel Tilos az Á se présentant tous les lundi soir. Équipe actuelle: László Kistamás; Dóra Csernátony; Attila Till; Ferenc Gróf. Le nom Vakuum TV ne définit évidemment pas une chaîne de télévision dans le sens traditionnel du terme, dont les émissions peuvent être captées au moyen d'un téléviseur acheté sur le marché, mais une programme de variétés se déroulant derrière une énorme cadre de télé séparant la scène du public, imitant ainsi, pour les spectateurs, la situation d'une soirée pasée devant le petit écran. Le public présent est attiré par les expériences visant la transibilité des médias, ou vient "simplement'' pour s'amuser, parce qu'il sait que l'humour - en particuier l'humour absurde - tient une place importante dans les programmes de Vakuum TV. Le spectacle de Vakuum Tv ressemble beaucoup à un cabaret. On peut dire qu'il s'agit d'un cabaret moderne au sein duquel le théâtre se mêle à la video et la performance artistique, à la télévision. Il présente des liens de parenté avec le Cabaret Voltaire créé à Zurich en 1916, ainsi qu'avec les premiers cafés-théâtres. Les éléments du programme de Vakuum Tv se basent partiellelment sur des émissions télévisées transposées en mode manuel, mais dans lesquelles l'électronique et la technique sont présentes et utilisées "sur d'autres niveaux". Les émissions se passent sur scène, en direct, mais imitent les possibilités de truquage de la télé (ralenti ou son contraire, quadrillage, arrêt sur image, etc.) et reprennent ainsi l'univers visuel propre à la télé. Les spectateurs se trouvent donc à la fois dans les studios tv et devant leur téléviseur, ce qui donne lieu à une participation interactive à la télévision. Il n'y a pas de censure tout est permis, ce qui rafraîchit corps et esprit. Entre février 1994 et janvier 1996 nous avons réalisé exactement 53 spectatles différents. 48 des 51 représentations ont été données au Tilos az A, une sous la tente de théâtre du Festival Sziget et une au hall Paradiso à Amsterdam. Celle-ci a été réalisée dans le cadre du festival tactique Next5Minutes organisé tous les deux ans. Depuis la fermeture de Tilos az A nos représentations sont devenuent occasionels: - Le 19.01.1996. au Next Five Minutes, Paradiso Hall, Amsterdam - Le 2. octobre 1996 au club parisien Flèche d'Or - Le 29. septembre 1997 a l'Institut Français de Budapest à l'occasion du festival Vidéologie. - Le 13. decembre 1997 au Collegium Hungaricum de Vienne dans le cadre du festival U2 (Underground in Ungarn). - „The Parallel Lifeforms of Human Beings". Á Café, Budapest, 08.07.2000. - „Mechanical Television". Á Café, Budapest, 31.08.2000.	Im beliebtesten subkulturellen Lokal der 90er Jahre, im Café und Musikklub „Tilos az Á" lief ab 1994 das live Showprogramm „Vakuum TV". Woche für Woche lachten und tanzten 150 bis 200 Zuschauer bei den Sendungen von VTV und aktivierten ihre Energien in den verschiedenen Publikumsspielen, die durch Programmstücke mit theatralischen und künstlerischen Elementen zu abendfüllenden Produktionen ergänzt wurden. Anstatt überflüssige Gattungsbestimmungen (interaktives Theater, Video-Kabarett, Perfomance-TV) geben zu wollen, kann man „Vakuum TV" als eine spezifische Mischung von Kunst und Unterhaltung beschreiben, die in der ungarischen Kulturszene einen bis heute einmaligen Versuch darstellt. Das einsame, an die Privatsphäre gebundene Ritual des Fernsehens wurde durch den riesigen Fernsehrahmen, den man auf der Bühne aufstellte, in einen Gemeinschaftsakt verwandelt. Mit Hilfe dieses Requisits konnten live und Videoproduktionen simultan aufgeführt und die Eigentümlichkeiten der kinematographischen Welt theatralisch kopiert werden; unerwarteter, absurder Humor konnte sich entladen. In den Jahren seit ihrer Gründung konnte die Gruppe mit wechselnder Zusammensetzung mehr als 50 Aufführungen realisieren. Heute sind László Kistamás, Dóra Csernátony, Ferenc Gróf und Attila Till die ständigen Mitarbeiter. „Vakuum TV" trat bei zahlreichen ausländischen Festivals auf, unter denen die Amsterdamer Next 5 Minutes, die „Tactical-media"-Konferenz, die Einladung des Pariser Café Fleche d' Or und die Wiener Veranstaltungsreihe U2 erwähnt werden sollten.
